Terms and conditions

By creating an account and using the Dexter platform you accept the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Dexter is a service for sending, scheduling and automating SMS messages. Actual delivery is performed by mobile network operators, and the platform cannot guarantee delivery to a number that is unavailable, switched off, non-existent or roaming.

2. Your account

The account is personal and you are responsible for keeping your password and API keys safe. Any message sent from your account, including through the API, is considered sent by you. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

An account may be suspended without notice if it is used for illegal, misleading or phishing messages, or for sending to people who have not given their consent.

3. Credits and payments

Messages are paid for in credits, bought in packages or included in a monthly subscription. Displayed prices include VAT.

• A message of up to 160 characters consumes one credit. Longer messages are split into segments, each consuming one credit.
• Romanian diacritics change how the message is encoded and reduce a segment to 70 characters. The platform shows you the segment count before sending.
• Credits bought in packages do not expire. Credits included in a subscription are valid within the subscription month.
• A message rejected by the operator before sending does not consume a credit.

A fiscal invoice is issued automatically and is available in your account.

4. Your responsibility for content

You are solely responsible for the content of your messages and for your right to contact the recipients. You must hold the recipients’ consent and be able to prove it. Sending unsolicited commercial messages is prohibited.

Every commercial message must allow unsubscribing. The platform handles STOP replies automatically, and an unsubscribed recipient can no longer be contacted from your account.

5. Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available at all times, but interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. Subscriptions that include a guaranteed availability level are marked as such on the pricing page.

6. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the amounts paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, or the consequences of a message not delivered by the operator.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Unused credits are not refunded in cash, except where the law provides otherwise. We may stop providing the service with 30 days’ notice.

8. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Consumers may contact ANPC or the European online dispute resolution platform.
